Paul Donald Stoianowski

1939 - 2018

 

Paul Donald Stoianowski, 78, of Dundee, Mi was called home by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 24, 2018, in Toledo Hospital with his loving family at his side. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, Friday, July 27, 2018, from 2-8 PM. There will be a service at New life Church, Petersburg, MI, Saturday, July 28, 2018, at 11 AM. Pastor Josh Ellis will officiate. Burial will be in Lulu Cemetery, Ida, MI.

 

Born in Milan, MI, on October 17, 1939, in Milan, MI. Paul graduated from Dundee High School in 1958 and married the love of his life, Ruth Dentel, on July 25, 1964. Paul was the loving father of their children, Deborah, Dave (Kim) and Aaron (fiancée, (Heather Schmidt). and two grandsons, Rob Walters and David Stoianowski.

 

Paul is also survived by brothers Steve Stoianowski, James (Laurie) Stoianowski and sister Judy (Don) Delano and by his Aunt Olga Mancik. Also Sisters and brother-in-laws Josephine Dentel, Phyllis (Norbert) Sedelbauer, Janice Simon, Richard (Janet) Dentel, Robert Dentel, James (Sue) Dentel, Jean Rorke, Dean Dentel and many nieces and nephews.

 

Paul was preceded in death by his parents Nick and Stella Stoianowski, brother-in laws John Dentel, Bernard Simon, Charles Sullins and Larry Rorke, sister-in-laws, Sharon (Dentel) Sullins, Nancy Dentel and Barbara Stoianowski. Also nephews David Sedelbauer, Matt Stoianowski, Mike Simon, niece Denise Simon.

 

Paul worked as a union carpenter for 25 years and then owned his own construction company, LJ Builders until retiring in 2012. He was known as a master builder, perfectionist carpenter and a man of integrity.

 

Paul loved spending time with his family, fishing, playing hockey, reading the Word of God and trips to Lake Michigan. He served on several Boards, was active at New Life Church in Petersburg and loved attending the Men’s Bible Study Group.
