Laura Mae Addy (Stull)

1924 - 2018


Laura Mae Addy (Stull), 93 yrs, of Dundee passed away in her daughter’s home under the care of Promedica Hospice. There will be no services or visitation, due to Laura's wishes. Cremation has occurred.


Born October 15, 1924, she was the daughter of Wade and Bertha (Gillman) Stull. She had one brother, Jack (Dee) who preceded her in death in 2007. She graduated from Dundee High School in 1942. She married Lowell Ervin Addy on September 14, 1943. She attended Henry Ford Home Arts School in 1943. Laura was employed at the bomber plant in Ypsilanti during WWII. She later attended beauty school and operated a beauty shop from her home. Laura and Lowell retired in 1980 to Cherokee Village , AR. Where they resided for 32 yrs. Lowell preceded her in death on April 23, 2000. Laura returned to Michigan to be with family in 2013. There she became a member of Petersburg United Methodist Church, Petersburg, MI. Lowell and Laura had three children, Lowell Richard "Rick" (Kae) Addy, Milton Martin "Mick" (Toni Sue) Addy, Jan Louise (Ken) Bogedain, 6 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Laura was preceded in death by her parents, brother, husband and son-in-law, Ken.


Laura enjoyed china painting, crocheting, knitting, sewing, making porcelain dolls and numerous other arts.
