Jeane Audrey Jackson (Hoffman)

1942 - 2018

Jeane Audrey Jackson (Hoffman), 75, of Dundee died on January 16, 2018 at The Residence of Arbor Hospice in Saline after a painful battle with cancer.  Jeane was born on April 19, 1942 to Howard and Helen (Knapp) Hoffman of Maybee.  They precede her in death. She graduated from Dundee High School in 1960.

On March 20, 1965, Jeane married Richard F. Jackson. He survives. Together they farmed and raised four children- Jill Jackson (Dave) Moulton, Todd Jackson, Julie (Jake) McLean and Chad (Tamithy) Jackson. Jeane is also survived by her grandchildren - Matthew, Daniel and Michael Moulton, Evelynn Huber and Russell Jackson.

Because of her love of cooking and baking, after raising her children and caring for her parents, Jeane then worked for almost 17 years in the Dietary Department of Mercy Memorial Hospital. Jeane also enjoyed flea markets and bowling.

Jeane met Richard at the Monroe County Fair and it has been special to her throughout her life. She enjoyed exhibiting in the open class and won countless ribbons. She was also very proud to have won the Silver Cake Plate for best cake at the fair. Jeane remained active in 4-H long after her children were grown and served as a Monroe County Fair 4-H superintendent for nearly 40 years, including the last two years while she was fighting cancer.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Monroe County 4-H Program.

Per her wishes, Jeane has been cremated and there will be no services.

Ma also requested we do not get emotional in her obituary. So we will simply state that we all are going to miss her very, very much.
