Helen Marie Hoppert

Helen Marie Hoppert, age 101 passed away peacefully on Friday, January 29, 2021, at Wellsprings Lutheran Services, Monroe, MI, where she was a resident for 4 yrs. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, all services are private.

Born October 13, 1919, in Ida, MI. Helen was the daughter of John and Lottie Verdon. Helen attended Ida High School, where she played on the basketball team. Helen married the love of her life Lee Hoppert on November 19, 1938. Helen was a dedicated homemaker.

Helen and Lee enjoyed many family fun years at their cottage in Clark Lake, MI, and also spent winters in Sun City, AZ. Sadly Lee preceded her in death in June 2003. Helen enjoyed working with the braille project at her church in Sun City and was also involved with quilting and was a member of East Ida Immanuel Lutheran Church, Ida, MI all of her married life.

Loving mother of son, Blair (Pat) Hoppert and daughter, Carol (Bob) Delker, dearest grandmother of Scott (Suzanne) Hoppert, Michael (Jennifer) Hoppert, Laurie (Roy) Raymer, Rebecca Dickerson, Jennifer (Matthew) Darr, Rod (Cheryl) Delker, Cheryl (Joe) Stull, Randy (Wendy) Delker, Cydi (Doug) Spotts, 19 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Welti. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her siblings.
