Larry Dee Robbins Sr.

Larry Dee Robbins Sr., 78 yrs of Ida, MI, died Thursday 7/29/21, home under the hospice of ProMedica. Friends may call Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, Tuesday 8/3/21 from 2-8 PM. He will lie-in-state on Wednesday 8/4/21 from 10 AM until the services at 11 AM at Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI. Pastor Tedd Kerr III of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church will officiate. Entombment will occur at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle, MI.

Born 12/24/42, in Monroe MI. Larry was the son of Degarmo and Ada (Heiden) Robbins. He was a 1960 Ida High School graduate. He honorably served with the US Air Force from 5/2/61-4/23/65. He married Bessie Bussell on 8/23/69 in Grape Missionary Baptist in Monroe, MI. He was a member of Prince Of Peace Lutheran Church where he was part of dart ball. In his years at high school, he was in the chess club and library club. In addition, he was a member of the American Legion. He was also a member of bowling and couple's bowling leagues. He loved putting puzzles together, being an avid gardener, playing cards, word search, watching the Detroit Tigers Baseball, and loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include: his wife, Bessie Robbins; children, Larry (Ericka) JR, Tammy (Tom) Harbaugh, Sandy (Aaron) Miller, Carrie (Steve) Crocker; siblings, Duane Robbins, Richard Robbins, Sharon Shivley; grandchildren, Bethany Harbaugh, Megan (Blaise) DuBois, Alex Miller, Joseph Crocker, Cierra Crocker, and honorary granddaughters, Samantha Schall, Allisa Briscoe, Grace and Della. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Melvin Robbins, William Robbins, Roger Robbins, and a grandchild, Kaylynn Marie Miller.

He will be dearly missed by his loving family. He will forever be remembered as the most kind, calm, quiet-loving, husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
