Marion Joyce Jackson

Marion Joyce Jackson, 88 years, died November 19, 2021, at ProMedica Hickman Hospital, Adrian, MI. As per her wishes, there will be no services or visitation. Memorials may be made to Dundee Elementary School or Monroe County 4H.

Marion was born October 3, 1933, at home to Eula (Wallace) and Russell Jackson. She shared her birthday with her grandfather, Frank Jackson.

Marion graduated from Dundee High School in 1950 as the class salutatorian at the age of sixteen. Upon graduation she worked in the Dundee Elementary Office as the secretary to numerous principals for over forty years. Following retirement, she moved to her lake cottage in the Irish Hills where she hosted many family gatherings. She resided there until her death.

Marion enjoyed doing a variety of crafts that showcased her creativity. Having no children of her own, she was very close to her nieces and nephews. She gifted them with her crafts including homemade Christmas ornaments and cards every year. Marion also enjoyed helping her nieces and nephews make crafts for 4 H projects. We all were lucky to have Aunt Marion.

Marion was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers and their wives: William and Iris Jackson and Richard and Jeane Jackson. A nephew, Michael Jackson, also preceded her in death.

She is survived by nieces Christine (Dale) Kominek, Jeannine (Ken) Henning, Jill (Dave) Moulton, Julie McLean; nephews Todd Jackson and Chad (Tamithy) Jackson; great nieces and nephews Joseph Kominek, Roxann (Dan) Dziduch, Rebecca Kominek, Jennifer Henning, Matthew Moulton, Daniel Moulton, Michael Moulton, Russell Jackson, Stanley Jackson and Evelynn Huber; great nieces and nephews Joseph Kominek Jr., Jayce Kominek, Ava Kominek, Addison Dziduch and Briella Dziduch.
