Mary Margaret Lehr (Gotha)

Mary Margaret Lehr (Gotha), 91 yrs of Ida, MI, passed away peacefully, Thursday, January 14, 2021, in Medilodge of Monroe, MI, under the care of ProMedica Hospice. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic all services and burial at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Ida, MI, are private.

Born December 14, 1929, in Maybee, MI. Mary was the daughter of Frank and Bertha (Steinman) Gotha. She was a 1948 Dundee High School Graduate. She married Joseph Lehr Sr. on July 24, 1954, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ida, MI. Joseph died on August 11, 2014. She was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ida, MI. Mary was a homemaker, who loved to take care of her family, watch grandkids sporting events, go up north, canning, cooking and baking cookies every Saturday morning.

Survivors include her children, Joseph Jr., Michael (Rebecca), Robert (Mary), Mark (Bonnie), Mary (David) Potter; sister, Louise Bossia; 11 grandchildren and 16 with 3 on the way great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings, John, Art, Frank, Ben, Harold, Pearl, Elizabeth, Esther, and a grandson, Daniel.

Mary's family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to ProMedica Hospice and the staff at Medilodge of Monroe for their compassionate and loving care of our mother, especially Carrie, mom's angel.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Gabriel Catholic Parish, St. Jude Children's Hospital, and the Alzheimer's Association.
