Edward E. Rusch

Edward E. Rusch (73) passed away peacefully on July 13th 2022 in the comfort of his family’s arms. He was born in Toledo, OH on July 17th 1948 and attended Whitmer High School where he met the love of his life, Sandy. Both Sandy and Ed graduated in 1968 and married shortly after on September 20th 1969. They remained married for 52 years. Edward proudly served as an electrician and was a member of the IBEW local 8 for over 50 years. During his life, he enjoyed hobbies such as stained glass, square dancing, gardening, walks in the woods, watching “This Old House” and making memories with his family. As a family man, he would always preach the importance of saving money, getting oil changes on time, not calling off from work, buying American Made products and most importantly, no matter the situation, he would always have his family’s back.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy M. Rusch; His children: Wayne & Jenny (wife) Rusch, Peggy A. Rusch, Eddie & Alicia Rusch (wife), his sisters Bonnie (Bill) Holley & Kathy Breininger. 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carlton Rusch. Mother, Frances Rusch, Brothers: Lenny & Bill Rusch. Sisters: Judy, Sharron & Linda. Stepbrother, Gary Frost. Edward will be greatly missed by all, but he will live on through the hearts of everyone that loved him.

Visitation will be held in his honor from 4pm – 8pm on Friday July 29th and visitation from 9 AM until the funeral services Saturday July 30th starting at 10am at Capaul Funeral Home in Ida MI. Burial will be in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, Toledo, Ohio.
