Gaylord Ross Montry

Gaylord Ross Montry, 69 years, of Deerfield, MI, died in his residence surrounded by family, on Sunday February 27, 2022. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, Friday March 11, 2022, from 2:00-8:00 PM. There will be a military service and burial on Saturday March 12, 2022, at Pleasant View Cemetery, Petersburg, MI, at 11:00 AM.

Born April 24, 1952, in Adrian, MI. He was the son of Hazen “Bud" and Isabelle (Craig) Montry. Gaylord was a 1970 Summerfield High School Graduate. He married Diane LaPointe on June 23, 1972 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Deerfield, MI. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this June. He was a member of the Masons, Petersburg, MI, The American Legion Post 392, Deerfield, MI, and the Avengers Motorcycle Club. He loved Jeeps, Silver Lake Sand Dunes where he made lifelong friends, riding motorcycles, cooking and camping. One of his many hobbies included playing music with his brother Danny, "Two Brothers Mobile Music".

Survivors include: his wife, Diane; daughters, Jennifer (Mark) Burkheiser, Gabrielle Badder; siblings, Marty (Melissa) Stasko, Sue (Rick) Barta; grandchildren, Larry David Richardson III, Natalie Burkheiser, Gavin Badder and nephews and nieces, Tennille (Steve) Taraszkiewicz, Travis (Ginnie) Barta, Dylan Stasko and Ciara Stasko. Gaylord was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Danny Witt and Cindy Montry.
