Gerald "Jerry" Charles Barron

Gerald "Jerry" Charles Barron, 62 yrs, of Adrian, formerly of Temperance and Newport, MI died Thursday January 27, 2022. He will lie-in-state on Wednesday February 2, 2022, in Ogden Church, Adrian, MI, from 10 AM until the services at 11AM. Pastor Brandon Rickard will officiate. Cremation will follow.

Born September 26, 1959 in Monroe, MI. Jerry was the son of Robert and Shirley (Wiseman) Barron. He was a 1977 Airport High School Graduate. He married Debra Mallow on January 3, 1980 in Monroe Methodist Church. He owned and operated Barron Insurance Agency, Temperance, MI, retiring in 2020. He donated a kidney several years ago to save a young man’s life.

Jerry passed peacefully with his family surrounding him. His love for life, family, and friends was evident in all that he did. More importantly, his love for Jesus and serving others left a never-ending legacy. From coaching his kids in sports to serving on countless committees and boards, Jerry put his heart and soul into everything he did. It is no doubt that Debra was the love of his life. Married 42 years, they built an amazing life together raising 4 children and 7 grandchildren. Their home was always full of joy, love, and belly laughs! Jerry always spoke about the joy of going to heaven and hearing "well done my good and faithful servant". He will forever be loved and missed here on earth.

Survivors include: his wife, Debra; mother, Shirley; children, Beky (Jeff) Wiles, Amanda (Kelly) Mills, Kristen (Ryan) Nusbaum, Sean (Meghan) Barron; siblings, Bob (Carol) Barron, Brad (Alice) Barron, Jeff (Debbie) Barron, Pam (Rob) Lindsey, Todd (Tricia) Barron and grandchildren, Nicholas, Brooklyn, Zakkary, Zoey-Lynn, Sadie, Kyle, and Shelby. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Barron.
