Irving “Irv” August Cilley

Irving “Irv” August Cilley, 69 yrs of Petersburg, died in his residence on Thursday October 13, 2022. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, on Thursday October 20, 2022, from 2-8PM. He will lie-in-state on Friday October 21, 2022, from 10AM until the services at 11 AM at Petersburg United Methodist Church, Petersburg, MI. Pastor Keith Leonard Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View cemetery, Petersburg, MI. Born September 3, 1953, in Toledo, Ohio. Irving was the son of Irving Wellington and Vera Louise (Haft) Cilley. He was a 1973 Ida high School Graduate. He married Dawn Johnson on October 8, 1983, at the United Methodist Church in Tecumseh, MI. Irv worked for The City of Petersburg from 1977-1999, Stoneco from 1999-2009 and was self employed from 1986 to the present with Irv’s Lawn Service. He was a member of Petersburg United Methodist Church, Petersburg, MI. Irv enjoyed gardening, welding, decorating for all holidays, vacationing up north, redesign vehicles to fit his needs, raising animals/farming, and most of all spending time with family. Survivors include: his wife Dawn; children, Andrew (Bianca) Cilley, Rachael, Melissa, Katlin Cilley; brothers, Delmer (Carol) Cilley, Leon Cilley and grandchildren, Colt Cilley, Ej Flores, Easton Woodruff. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Mryron Cilley and sister-in-law, Lois Cilley. Memorial contributions can be made to: The Family or Petersburg United Methodist Church.
