Jeanette Jean Brockman (Helle)

Jeanette Jean Brockman (Helle), age 86, of Dundee passed away peacefully on Friday, November 4, 2022. In addition to her parents, her passing was preceded by an infant brother William. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home Ida, MI, Thursday November 10, 2022, from 4-7PM. She will lie-in-state on Friday November 11, 2022, from 10 AM until the services at 11 AM at St. John Lutheran Church, Dundee, MI. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Dundee, MI.

To cherish her memory she leaves one daughter, Karen (Tim) Scholl, one brother, Robert Helle, four grandchildren, Lauren (Chris Antalek), Brad (Tehya Nickell), Nate (Lauren Kreps), Drew (Kelsey) Scholl.

Jeanette was born on September 17, 1936, at the home of her parent’s Walter and Lois (Winter) Helle’s, business, Walter Helle Lumber Company in Dundee, MI. She was one of the three children born to Walter and Lois (Winter) Helle. Jeanette graduated as salutatorian of Dundee High School in 1954. She married Gary Brockman on October 9, 1959. Jeanette and Gary celebrated sixty-three years of marriage. At the age of 16 Jeanette was employed at Monroe Bank and Trust as a teller in Dundee, MI. She enjoyed over 25 years at Dundee Elementary Schools as a paraprofessional retiring in 1999. Jeanette was involved in Dundee Care and Share, Dundee Township Planning Commission and Dundee Interfaith Association. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church where she was Baptized and confirmed.

Jeanette and Gary enjoyed traveling, flea markets, Dundee Wrestling, car shows & spending time at their lake house. She is known for her kindness, strong will and always helping others.
