Laurence "Larry" Norman Springsteen

Laurence "Larry" Norman Springsteen, 41 yrs, of Maybee, MI, died Tuesday, January 11, 2022, in his residence. A memorial gathering will take place at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, Wednesday, January 19, 2022, from 2-7 PM. The family is requesting all attendees to wear face coverings. A memorial service will take place at a later date. Cremation has occurred.

Larry was born August 16, 1980, in Monroe, MI. He was the son of Carl and Michele (Woelmer) Springsteen. He was a 1998 Ida High School Graduate. He attended Monroe County Community College and later earned his Millwright Journeyman License through the Millwrights Union, Local #1102, Detroit, MI. He worked through the union and Commercial Contracting Corporation (CCC) for 18 years. Larry was a member of the East Ida Immanuel Lutheran Church, Monroe, MI, and loved hunting, working on demolition derby cars, spending time up north in Glennie, MI, and spending time with his friends.

Survivors include: his mother, Michele; siblings, Christopher Springsteen, Beth (Rusty) Rumley and niece and nephews, Abby, Ethan and Jacob, and a large, loving, extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl, and grandparents, Melvin and Jeanette Woelmer and Larry and Marion Springsteen.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Community Foundation of Monroe to provide scholarship assistance for students going into skilled trades. Memorials can also be sent to East Ida Immanuel Lutheran Church Repair and Maintenance Fund.
