Lehr George Nevel

Lehr George Nevel, 79 yrs of Clarklake, MI, died Wednesday July 27, 2022, at Wellsprings Lutheran Services, Monroe, MI, under the care of Elara Hospice. Cremation has occurred; a private burial of cremains will take place at Pleasant View Cemetery, Petersburg, MI for the family.

Born March 18, 1943 in Monroe, MI, Lehr was the son of Robert P. and Helen G. (Hauslein) Nevel. He was a 1961 Monroe High School graduate who later earned his Bachelor’s in Engineering from Eastern Michigan University. He worked for Consumers Power Company in the Gas Distribution department in Jackson, MI before he started his self-owned business, Kalco Enterprises, as a landlord and carpenter. He was a charter member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Monroe, MI, enjoyed good food and dancing and loved to spend time at the lake. Survivors include: his brother Scott (Bonnie) Nevel, his longtime friend Peggy Dwyer, 6 nieces and nephews and 8 great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
