Marilyn Ruth Seegert (Stetter)

Marilyn Ruth Seegert (Stetter), 91 yrs of Petersburg, MI, died Sunday April 10, 2022, in Blissfield Place, Blissfield, MI. There will be a memorial gathering on Thursday April 14, 2022, from 10 AM until the Memorial Service at 11 AM at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI. Father Gerard Cupple of St. Gabriel Catholic Parish will officiate. Burial of the cremains will occur at a later date at Pleasant View Cemetery, Petersburg, MI.

Born September 14th, 1930, in Petersburg, MI. Marilyn was the daughter of Clifford and Mary (Baughman) Stetter. She was a 1948 Petersburg high School Graduate and later earned her teaching certificate from County Normal in Blissfield, MI. Marilyn married Robert Seegert on December 27, 1950, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ida, MI. Robert died December 26, 1999. Marilyn was a teacher for Whiteford Schools for 15 years. She was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church and loved camping, crocheting, embroidering, gardening, flowers and being with people.

Survivors include: her daughters, Mary Brown, Roberta (Thomas) Saxton, Darlene Seegert, Karen (Gene) Beck; a sister, Ruby Seegert; 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Bessie Stetter, great-grandson, Maxwell Brown and son-in-law, James Brown.
