Melladie "Mell" Ann Sortor (Croskey), 67 yrs, of Monroe, MI, died Wednesday February 23, 2022, in St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ypsilanti, MI. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, Monday February 28, 2022, from 2-8PM. There will be visitation for Mell on Tuesday March 1, 2022 from 10 AM until the services at 11 AM. Pastor Janice Locke will officiate. Burial will be in Rath Cemetery, Monroe, MI.

Born January 11, 1955 in Monroe, MI. Mell was the daughter of Dale and Joanne (Bruhn) Croskey. She attended Monroe High School. She married Robert "Butch" Sortor Sr. on October 19, 1974 in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church. Mell was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and loved to gamble at casinos, play BINGO, cards, crochet and ceramics.

Survivors include: her husband, "Butch"; children Robert Jr., Dale and Dawn Wood; siblings, Irving Croskey, Curtis (Dawn) Croskey, Debra Croskey; grandchildren, Paige, Kyle, Blake, Seth, Sierra, Adrianne, Ashlynn; great-grandchild, Preston and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, Irving and Blanche.
