Olivia Nicole Dowler

Olivia Nicole Dowler passed away on July 6, 2022 in her family home at the age of 22. She was surrounded by loved ones at the time of her passing who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

Olivia was born on January 25, 2000. She graduated from Ida High School in 2018. In April of 2022, she graduated from Monroe County Community College with an associate degree in science, and had many plans and aspirations of who she wanted to be, most recently applying to be a local dispatcher. She was a well-loved and dedicated server at Great Lakes Eatery and Pub in Dundee, Michigan for several years.

Olivia was a kind soul who added a light to this world from the moment she entered it. Everyone lucky enough to have known her would agree that her laugh was contagious, her energy was infectious, and her personality was magnetic. She was able to connect with everyone in a way that made her impossible to forget. If you wanted to find Olivia, she’d be barefoot in her herb garden, cooking her latest recipes, kayaking down a river, or watching the sunset. She was a nature girl at heart and loved making memories with friends and family. Olivia genuinely cared about every single person in her life, and each one of those people cared for her because of her kind and genuine soul. One person in particular is her nephew, Liam Ellis, who was her entire world.

Olivia was preceded in death by her older sister Paige Ann-Nicole Horvath, and great grandparents Eudora Horvath, and Helen Kudrick. She is survived by her mother, Valerie Horvath; father, Stephen Dowler; grandparents, Gary (Sally) Horvath and Fred (Helen) Dowler; twin brother, Grant Dowler; sisters, Erica Dowler and Katie Miller; beloved nephew, Liam Ellis; her two pups Tootie and Luna; and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Words cannot begin to express the loss that so many are feeling now that Olivia is gone. If you wish to pay your respects and show your support to the Dowler family and share your fond memories of Olivia with them during this difficult time please gather with us at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, Tuesday July 12, 2022 from 2-8PM. There will be a visitation on Wednesday July 13, 2022 from 10AM until the services at 11AM at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI. Pastor Camden Dowler will officiate. Cremation will occur after services.
