Robert John Lucht
August 29th, 1928 - December 29th, 2022
Robert John Lucht, 94 yrs. of Lambertville, MI, passed away peacefully Thursday December 29, 2022.
Born August 29, 1928, in Ida, MI, and known as Bob throughout his life, he was the only son of John and Pearl (Brunner) Lucht. He was a 1946 Dundee High School Graduate. Bob served our country with the US Navy from June 25, 1946 – April 28, 1948 and then was called back into active duty in 1951 during the Korean conflict. He married the love of his life Virginia M. Noirot on June 3, 1950, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Petersburg, MI. Virginia passed November 1, 2019, after nearly 70 years of marriage. Bob was a master journeyman electrician and member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical (IBEW) Local 8 in Toledo and provided his mentorship to numerous apprentice electricians during his 38 year career until retiring in 1990. As a foreman, Bob supervised the electrical portion of many large construction projects that included Bedford High School and Junior High School when they were built. He served on the Bedford Volunteer Fire Department #2 in Lambertville for 22 yrs., retiring in 1974. Bob was an active member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, served the congregation in many capacities both official and unofficial and always made himself available for projects or facility problems needing attention. Bob was a hands-on multi-talented craftsman with numerous construction related and mechanical skills. He designed and built 3 houses from the ground up where he raised his family and a cabin in St. Helen, MI where he introduced his family to snowmobiling in the winter and dune buggy exploration during the summer months in the nearby forests. Numerous remodel projects also occupied his time before and after retirement. Bob loved many outdoor activities including boating, water skiing, camping, hunting and perch fishing on Lake Erie which he generously introduced and shared these experiences with others.  However, Bob most loved his retirement years spent with Virginia when they enjoyed round and square dancing together, camping in their motor home and traveling to Mesa, AZ in the winters.
Bob is best known as being constantly curious, humble, loving and a generous problem solver willing to help anyone in need at any time. He will be deeply missed by all that new and loved him, but we take comfort in knowing his is now dancing again with the love of his life, Ginny. Â
