Susan Cole Gossiaux (Currie)

Susan Cole (Currie) Gossiaux – 74 years of Ida, MI – was called home Monday, June 6th, 2022, at her home in Ida under the care of her family with assistance from hospice. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home on Monday, June 13th, 2022, from 11am-2pm, with a service immediately following at 2pm. There will be a private burial at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, MI that will take place at a later date. Pastor Mark Loudermilk will officiate.

Susan was born on July 23rd, 1947, in Detroit, MI. She was the only daughter of David and Edith (Roberts) Currie. Susan was a 1966 Pershing High School Graduate. She met the love of her life Raymond Gossiaux at a dance after he was honorably discharged from Vietnam and married on October 18th, 1969. Ray and Sue were involved in the Clawson JC organization volunteering at Pumpkin sales and other events. After attending Eastern Michigan University, she began her career with Dr. Birndorf in Southfield MI. Susan was a Registered Medical Assistant working for Dr. Lammers in Ida for 20 years where she loved to take care of her patients in the office and on house calls. She retired in 2019 from Hometown Pharmacy to focus on spending quality time with her family, her cats, and volunteering at Wings Mission Food Bank at Lulu Church.

Survivors include: her husband of 52 years Ray, her sons Tim (Jamie) and Andrew (Klodia), and her grandchildren Chandler, Calloway, and Myles. She was preceded in death by her parents.
