Ann Julia Kominek (Kacer)

Ann Julia Kominek (Kacer), 88 yrs, of Ida, MI, died Saturday July 1, 2023, in Fountain View of Monroe surrounded by her family under the care of Beacon Hospice. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, on Monday July 10, 2023, from 2-8PM. She will lie-in-state on Tuesday July 11, 2023, from 10AM until the Mass of the Resurrection, at St. Gabriel Catholic Parish, St. Joseph catholic Church, Ida, Mi. Fr. Gerard Cupple will officiate. Cremation will occur and a private burial of cremains will take place at St. joseph Catholic Cemetery, Ida, MI, at a later date.

Born August 15, 1934, in Deerfield, MI. Ann was the daughter of Antonio and Lena (Jurasek) Kacer. She married George Kominek on January 24, 1954, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Deerfield, MI. George died May 10, 2018. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ida, MI. She loved giving hugs and kisses, baking especially apple pie, polka music, the Detroit Tigers, holidays, Bingo, winning Quarters and spending time with family and grandchildren.

Survivors include: her children, Larry (Pam), Bob (Cindie), Tom (Dawn), Linda (Dave) Rigel, Debbie (Tim) VanHauen; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Mary Benedict, Lillian Roe, twin sister, Alice Horton and grandson, Chad Zorn.
