Avery Lynn Vandecaveye

Avery Lynn Vandecaveye - of Dundee, MI - died peacefully in her parents' arms Sunday February 12, 2023, at St. Joseph Hospital in Ypsilanti, MI.  Born February 11, 2023, in Ypsilanti Michigan, Avery was the infant daughter of Kyle and Megan (Sancrant) Vandecaveye. Avery spent only a moment in her parents' arms but is forever in the hearts of her parents and sister. She was a fighter until the end. Despite her short time on earth, she was deeply loved and brought immense joy to those around her.  Avery will lie-in-state at Capaul Funeral Home (Ida, MI) on Friday February 17, 2023, at 10am until the funeral service at 11am.  Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery (Ida, MI) immediately following the funeral.  Deacon Mike Hammond will officiate.

Survivors include: her parents Kyle and Megan, her sister Brynn Vandecaveye, her grandparents Thomas and Debbie Vandecaveye and Mel and Gina Sancrant,  great grandparents Sharon and Robert Zeiler, Teresa Vandecaveye, Myral and Cynthia Hoisager, and Gary and Josephine Miller, her uncles Kurt (Lynzee) Vandecaveye, David (Lisa) Sancrant, and Timothy (Melissa) Sancrant, and her cousins Levi, Payton, Kayla, Allison, Alexander, and Lauren. She is preceded in death by her uncle Corey Vandecaveye and great grandparents Andrew Vandecaveye, Marie Sancrant and Lester Sancrant. 

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
