Billie Marie Leaper

Billie Marie Leaper – 86 years of Ida, MI – died on Sunday April 23, 2023, at Ebeid Hospice (Toledo, OH).  Friends may call at Capaul Funeral Home (Ida, MI) on Thursday April 27, 2023, from 4pm to 8pm.  She will lie-in-state on Friday April 28, 2023, at Dundee Baptist Church (Dundee, MI) from 10am until the funeral service commences at 11am.  Burial will take place at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery (Petersburg, MI) immediately after the funeral.  Pastor Raymond will be officiating.

Born December 29, 1936 – in Pikeville, Kentucky – Billie was the daughter of Belbe and Emily (Ramey) Coleman.  She was a 1954 Hellier High School Graduate.  After graduating – for 30 years – Billie worked for GM as a hydromatic line-worker, retiring in 1999.  She married Llewellyn “Corky” Leaper on April 18, 1980, at Zion Lutheran Church.  When she wasn’t working, Billie enjoyed camping, motor-home vacationing, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Survivors include her husband Corky, her sons Gary (Barb) McAllister, David (Beth) McAllister, and Kevin (Shirley) Leaper, her daughters Vicky Leaper and Kimberly (Jeff) Wallen, her sister Mildred Bartley, 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.  Billie was preceded in death by her parents and 3 siblings.
