Deloris Darlene Parran (Walters), 87 yrs. of Monroe, MI, formerly of Ida, MI, died Wednesday December 20, 2023, in Rivergate Health Care, Riverview, MI. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, Thursday December 28, 2023, from 4-8PM with scripture reading at 7PM. She will lie-in-state on Friday December 29, 2023, from 10AM until the Mass of the Resurrection at St. Mary Catholic Church, Monroe, MI, at 11AM. Deacon Mike Stewart and Fr. David Burgard will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Maybee, MI.

Deloris was the daughter of Russell and Opal (Pool) Walters. She was an Ida High School Graduate that later attended Capital University. She married Alvin J (Jim) Parran on June 23, 1956, in St. Mary Catholic Church, Monroe, MI. Alvin died May 22, 1999. Deloris was a farmer’s wife and mother who earlier worked for Gruber’s, Imo’s and the Ida Dairy Bar as a cashier. Deloris was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She loved driving tractor, taking care of animals, gardening, playing cards, singing and canning.

Survivors include: her son, James Parran, brother Bill Walters, and sisters-in-law Margaret Walters, wife of Bob, and Carolyn Walters, wife of Bernard. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings Russell Jr., Bob, Opal Lee and Bernard.
