Don Richard Cowen

Don Richard Cowen – 88 years of Temperance, Michigan – died Sunday August 27, 2023, at his residence under the care of Elara Caring Hospice.  There will be no services.  Cremation has occurred.

Born July 16, 1935, in Dundee, Michigan, Don was the son of Clyde and Mildred (Perry) Cowen.  He attended Monroe High School.  Don served with the United States Air Force.  He married Marlene Weber on June 12, 1954, in Ida, Michigan.  Don was a carpenter for over 60 years.  He was a member of the American Legion Lynn C. Weaman Post 514.  Don was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening tomatoes.

Survivors include his wife Marlene, children Don (Robin) Cowen II, Debra (Dan) Bauman, Dawn (Albert) Huff, and Daphne (Martin Dick) Noble, sisters Juanita Dussia and Annamae Rathke, 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  Don was preceded in death by his parents, brother Clyde Cowen, and a grandson Brandon Cowen.
