Glenn Dooley

Glenn Dooley – 89 years of Petersburg, MI – died Friday January 6th, 2023, at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, OH.  Friends may call at Capaul Funeral Home (Ida, MI) on Thursday January 12th, 2023, from 10am until the service at 2pm.  Pastor Todd Greenman will officiate.  Burial will take place at Pleasant View Cemetery (Petersburg, MI) immediately following the funeral service.

Glenn was born on July 24th, 1933, in Lackey, KY.  He was the son of Worley and Zella (Slavin) Dooley.  Glenn married Jaqueline May Zeller on August 31st, 1958, in Dundee, MI.  Jaqueline died on May 1st, 2022.  For 25 years, he worked for the Monroe County Road Commission as a truck driver, eventually retiring in 1996.  When Glenn wasn’t working, he enjoyed gardening, yardwork, and spending quality time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include daughter Janet Rising and her children Scott (Holly) Rising and Rachel Lynn Rising; son Randal (Angela) Breitner and his children Kenneth (Regina) Breitner, Daniel (Francesca) Breitner, Rebecca (David) Vogel, and stepdaughter Danielle Dalton; son David Breitner and his children Emily (Mathew) Rottinger and Caleb Breitner; half-sister Tammy (Ben) Dooley-Crum; 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jaqueline Zeller, daughter-in-law Sandra Breitner; sisters Top, Carol, Linda, and Sue; brother Jack; and infant granddaughter Jennifer Lynn Breitner.
