Jeanette Ada (Schaffer) Fowler

Jeanette Ada (Schaffer) Fowler – 82 years of Petersburg, MI – died on Sunday April 30, 2023, at Hospice of Lenawee in Adrian, MI.  Friends may call at Capaul Funeral Home in Ida, MI, on Friday, May 5, 2023, from 4pm until 8pm.  She will lie-in-state at Capaul Funeral Home on Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 11am until the service at 1pm.  Burial will take place at Pleasant View Cemetery in Petersburg, MI, immediately following the service.  Pastor Rick Hogan from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Blissfield will officiate.

Born January 25, 1941 – in Toledo, OH – Jeanette was the daughter of Lillian (Peth) Schaffer.  She was a Summerfield High School graduate class of 1959.  After graduating, Jeanette worked for Purolator, the Petersburg Post Office, and Iott Insurance. She married John Fowler on July 7, 1962, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Petersburg, MI.  When she wasn’t working, Jeanette enjoyed painting, crafts, board games, and spending quality time with her family.

Survivors include her daughters Annette Fowler and Deanna (Edward) Griffith, her granddaughter Ashley Griffith, and her grand-pups Juliet and Toby.  Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and sister.
