Joann Marie Tsoutsouris (Stanger)

Joann Marie Tsoutsouris (Stanger) – 80 years, formerly of Petersburg, MI – died on Thursday, March 30, 2023, in West Orange, New Jersey.  Friends may call at Capaul Funeral Home in Ida, MI, on Friday, April 7, 2023, from 11am until the services at 1pm.  Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery (Petersburg, MI).

Born June 20, 1942 – in Summerfield Township, MI – Joann was the daughter of John and Selma (Gaertner) Stanger.  She was a Summerfield High School Graduate and later earned her Undergraduate and JD at Valparaiso University in Indiana.  In addition, Joann obtained a PhD in Psychology at the Illinois Institute of Technology.  She worked as a Psychologist for VA Systems in Lexington, KY.  When she wasn’t working, Joann enjoyed shooting her handguns / rifles and traveling all over the world.

Survivors include her children Wolfgang (Tamara), Damian, and Natasha Tsoutsouris, her brother John (Jennie) Stanger, and grandchildren Niobe and Gideon.  She was preceded in death by her parents.
