Carol Lee (Perry) Brzuchalski

Carol Lee (Perry) Brzuchalski – 78 years of Ferndale, MI – died on Friday October 4, 2024, at Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital (Royal Oak, MI).  Cremation has occurred.

Born on September 19, 1946 – in Illinois, Carol was the daughter of William and Frances (Bennett) Perry.  She was a 1963 Summerfield High School graduate.  After graduating from high school, Carol attended St. Charles Nursing School (Oregon, OH) to become a Registered Nurse.  In addition, she obtained a master’s degree from Madonna University (Livonia, MI).  Carol married Duane Brzuchalski on April 27, 1968, in Ann Arbor, MI.  Duane passed away on December 15, 2021.  For over 40 years, she worked at DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital (Detroit, MI), retiring in 2020.  When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed reading, knitting, making scarves yearly for her daughter’s elementary class, crafting blankets, watching birds (mainly hummingbirds), making fresh bread, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Survivors include her sons Duane (Regina) and Douglas Brzuchalski, her daughters Deborah (Cliff Grashel) Decant, Darlene (Donald Jr.) Reinbolt, and Diana (Rob) Brzuchalski-Chafin, her brother David Perry, her 15 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.  Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sisters Linda Sue Perry and Jo Ann Kiefer.
