Dallas Dean Strickland

Dallas Dean Strickland, 82 yrs. of Petersburg, MI, died Friday May 31, 2024, in Saline, MI, under the care of Hospice of Michigan. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Thursday June 6, 2024, from 2-8PM. He will lie-in-state on Friday June 7, 2024, at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, from 10AM until the services at 11AM. Pastor Mark McCaskill of Cornerstone Baptist Church, Ida, MI, will officiate. The burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Petersburg, MI.

Born January 27, 1942, in Jackson, OH. Dallas was the son of William and Marcella (Kelly) Strickland. He was a 1960 Jackson High School Graduate. He honorably served with the US Army. He married Beverly Toole on June 20, 1964, in Fairbanks, AL. Beverly died November 5, 2021. Dallas worked for The Ford Motor Company, Wayne Plant as an end line worker for 30 yrs., retiring in 1994. Dallas was a member of the NRA and loved to walk his property, ride his bicycle, visit his siblings, go to auctions and spend time with kids.

Survivors include children, Heather Knoll, Paul (Nancy Langel) Downs, Eric (Erin Damon) Strickland; siblings, Bernerd (Karen) Strickland, Basil Strickland, Dennis Strickland, Imogene (Terry) Garlitz; grandchildren, Tara Strickland, Travis Downs, Randy Carroll and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, Howard and Cecil Strickland and sons, Leonard and Ross Strickland.
