Donna Ellen (Good) Petrovish

Donna Ellen (Good) Petrovish – 87 years of Petersburg, MI – died on Monday June 17, 2024, at her residence under the care of Hospice of Lenawee.  Family and friends may visit Capaul Funeral Home (Ida, MI) on Friday June 21, 2024, from 2pm to 8pm.  Donna will lie-in-state at Capaul Funeral Home (Ida, MI) on Saturday June 22, 2024, from 10am until the (casual dress) funeral service commences at 11am.  Donna’s burial will take place immediately following the funeral at Pleasant View Cemetery (Petersburg, MI).  Pastor Bill Fix will officiate.

Born on May 2, 1937 – in West Branch, MI – Donna was the daughter of Lloyd and Minnie (Griffith) Good.  She was a 1955 West Branch High School graduate.  Donna married William “Bill” Petrovish on September 24, 1955, in West Branch, MI.  William passed away on September 30, 2023.  For 10 years, she worked at Milan Plastics as a press operator.  Donna was a member of Deerfield Free Methodist Church.  She was also a member of the Moose Lodge.

Donna enjoyed spending time with her family.  As her children flew the nest, she focused her mothering skills on the variety of songbirds that would visit her each day.  She provided specialty seeds and an abundance of housing options for her dear feathered friends.  A love for fresh fruit, that began with picking huckleberries as a child, provided her family with pies and jams of the strawberry and peach variety.  Often found pulling weeds and planting flowers in her flower beds, her philosophy was, “I may have a lot of flowers, but I don’t have that kind.”  But there is one memory that brings joy to all who knew her and one that continues today – picturing Mom and Dad out on the dance floor once again.

Survivors include her son William “Bill” (Micki) Petrovish Jr., her daughters Debra (David) Scott, Diane (Jim) Cheap, and Denise (Bud) Wylie, her brother Lloyd “Rick” (Vickie) Good, her sisters Dorothy O’Harris, Barbara Rouse, and Margaret Knepfler, her grandchildren Christine Scott, Marissa (Brad) Bray, Nathan (Caroline) Leonard, Douglas Wylie, Daniel Wylie, and Sarah Wylie, and her great-granddaughter Olivia Bray.  Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son-in-law Dave Scott, and her brothers-in-law Carl Knepfler Sr. and Edwin Rouse Sr.
