Geary Emil Barkenquast

Geary Emil Barkenquast - 70 years of Temperance, MI - passed away on July 27, 2024, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio (Toledo, OH), surrounded by loved ones. A memorial service will take place on Wednesday August 21, 2024, from 3PM at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida Michigan, until the memorial services at 5PM. Deacon Mike Hammond will officiate. Cremation has occurred.

Born November 1, 1953, in Ida, MI. Geary was the son of Richard and Delores (Osemlak) Barkenquast. He was a 1971 Monroe High School Graduate. He married Julie Spross on August 14, 1992, in Toledo, OH. Julie died April 5, 2007. Geary honorably served with the US Army and was a carpenter for his entire life. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and was a workaholic. 

Survivors include: his children, Brandon Barkenquast, Zach McCutcheon, Jessica Evans, Alexis Barkenquast; siblings, Michael, Ted, Mark (Cesar) Barkenquast, Michelle Barkenquast-Stengel and grandchildren, Jayde, Gavean and Tanner. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Richard, John, Marian, Greg Barkenquast and a granddaughter, Morgan.
