Charmee Ann Gibson (Chevalier-Twarog)
1949 - April 14th, 2020
Charmee Ann Gibson (Chevalier-Twarog), 71 yrs, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, under the care of her daughter, Kimberly A. Farver, in Ida, MI, surrounded by her loving family members. She was a lifelong resident of Arenac County where she was a valuable piece in the community. She was an active member of 4-H and her pride and love for her horse Jubilee. She graduated from Standish Sterling High School in 1966. She held employment with local schools as a bus driver until she took up employment for the Arenac County Sheriff's Department and Standish Maximum Correctional Facility as a corrections officer up until the time of her retirement. She had a deep love for animals as she spent a lot of time outdoors and took care of her beloved animals ranging from dogs, horses, cats, and local wildlife over the years. Charmee will be remembered as a strong independent woman who worked hard for everything she had in her life.
Charmee was preceded in death by her husband, James Allen Twarog and Gordon Gibson, parents, John and Ann (Muritt) Chevalier, stepfather John Sherman, grandmother Hazel (Lincoln) Whitman and grandfather Arthur Chevalier. She is survived by her children, Scott A. Twarog, Kimberly (Roger Oberski) Farver, grandson, Andrew Oberski and beloved cat, Bella May. There will be no services upon her request, cremation has occurred.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Promedica Hospice and Caretaker Sheryl Burtis; they did exceptional jobs in the family’s time of need.
