Tyler Zachary Smith

December 24th, 1983 - December 19th, 2020

Our most precious Christmas Gift, Tyler Zachary Smith was born on December 24th, 1983 in Niantic, Ct. He was unexpectedly called home to be with our heavenly father on December 19, 2020. Tyler moved to Ida at the age of 2, where he attended school. He participated in wrestling and football and was a longtime boy scout with the Ida Troop.


Tyler was a hard worker and began working at Carl's Hide-Away, where he loved to cook. He went on to cook at many local restaurants, including, Bob Evans, Applebees, Nino's, Jose's, and Great Lakes. He held Long time positions at Meijer, Clean-Tech, Michigan Tube, and Milan Metal. He was an avid Gamer and had many friends throughout the world.


Tyler was a father of two beautiful children, who he loved with all his heart. Tyler will be remembered as a gentle giant, " The Big quiet guy with the sweet shy smile". He loved children and animals and would help and protect them at any cost. His heart and soul were most at home in Detour Village, in the U.P., where he spent his holidays and planned to live his later years. He will now rest there eternally.


Tyler is survived by his children, Alec Zachary, and Lilliana Quinn. and his step-children, A'lyssa, Dominic, and Joselynne wise. His sweetest love, Sarah Belsie, and her children. his parents, Dale Smith and Ronda (Mike) Fuller. His brothers, Don (Stephanie), Mitchell, Shannon), Sheldon; stepsisters, Kaitlin Fuller; grandparents, Bev (Tom) Meyer and Alberta Leiner. His Dearly loved nieces and nephews, Madelin, Erica, Ashton, Addie, Gavin, Layla, and Ryder, and his long-time companion, Stinker, the cat, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.


He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leo and Laverne Smith, and Donald Rolison, All of Detour Village, and Denny and Joy Fuller.
