Gerald Conrad Flatt, 86 years of Monroe, Mi, died Wednesday February 5, 2025, in Wellsprings Lutheran Services, Monroe, MI. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, Tuesday February 11, 2025, from 2-8PM. He will lie-in-state on Wednesday February 12, 2025, from 10AM until the services at 11AM at East Ida Immanuel Lutheran Church, Monroe, MI. pastor Curtis Garland will officiate. Burial will be in East Ida Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Ida, MI.

Born March 25, 1938, in Toledo, OH. Gerald was the son of Frederick and Ethel (Conrad) Flatt. He was a 1956 Devilbiss High School Graduate. He married Margaret Woelmer on October 27, 1962, in East Ida Immanuel Lutheran Church, Monroe, MI. Margaret died December 22, 2023. Gerald served honorably with the US Air Force. He was a self-employed general contractor at Jerry Flatt Contracting for 50 years, retiring in 2020. He was a member of East Ida Immanuel Lutheran Church and past member of Monroe’s Home Builders association. Gerald loved woodworking, spending time with family and bowling.

Survivors include: his children, Greg (Anna) Flatt, Diane Gregory, Karen (Edward) St. Bernard, Sharon Flatt; twin sister, Joyce (James) Campey; grandchildren, Devin St. Bernard, Laurel (Andy) Seegert, Norman Gregory, Morgan St. Bernard, Ellen (Mike) Rodeno, Edward (Kelsey) St. Bernard, Steven (Alison) Gregory, Carmen Flatt, Corinne Flatt and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and niece Julie (Campey) Cousino.
