Michael Steven Hutka

Michael Steven Hutka, 67 yrs of Petersburg, MI, died Monday February 3, 2025, in Toledo Hospital, OH. A memorial gathering will be held at the River Raisin Banquet Hall, Monroe, MI, on Sunday February 9, 2025, from 1-4PM. Cremation has occurred.

Born October 4, 1957, in Akron, OH. Michael was the son of Richard and Elizabeth (Ashby) Hutka. He attended Dundee Public Schools later taking classes at Monroe County Community College. He honorably served with the US Navy. He married Cathy Grodi in Monroe, MI, on April 12, 1986. Michael was a carpenter and retire in 2007. Michael enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandkids.

Survivors include: his wife Cathy; daughters, Jennifer (Mike) Shankleton, Nickole (Aaron Bell) Hutka; brothers, Chuck (Rita) Hutka, Jeff (Kathy) Hutka and grandchildren, Arion, Michael, Vincent, Thomas, Roselynne and Katelynne. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Leslie McDonnell and Stephanie Martinez.
