Robert (Rob) Dean Lloyd

Robert (Rob) Dean Lloyd, 63 of Luna Pier, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, from complications of pneumonia. 

Born on December 10, 1961, in Albert Lea, Minnesota to Dean Lloyd and Sharon (Carter) Lloyd.  He was a 1980 graduate of Monroe High School.

He was a career truck driver, who loved working in the oil fields.  He was very handy and able to fix anything.  He spent countless hours at the shop with his dad and brothers.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating.  He was a lifelong animal lover.   He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.

His favorite expression was “it ain’t easy being me”.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

Rob is survived by his father, Dean (Jean) Lloyd of Ida, Michigan, mother Sharon Lloyd of Luna Pier, Michigan, brother David Lloyd, stepsister Tracy (Ron) Justice, stepbrother Matt Stubleski, nephew David Lloyd, II., step nieces Allison and Hailey Justice and friend Tammy Neff.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Verle and Mary Lloyd and Melvin and Madeline Carter.

Friends and family are invited to visitation on Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 2 – 7 p.m. at Capaul Funeral Home, 8216 Ida West Road, Ida.   He will lie in state on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 10 – 11 a.m. at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 4000 Lewis Ave., Ida, where his friend, Pastor Mark McCaskill will preside over the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
