Ted Alan Weiler

March 20, 1960 - February 8, 2025

Ted Alan Weiler, 64 yrs, died in his residence Saturday February 8, 2025. He was a lifelong resident of Ida, Michigan. A place he loved his community, being a farmer, and was a regular guest at every local business. They all knew Ted by first name as he made it a point to know them!


Born March 20, 1960, in Monroe, MI. Ted was the son of Lee and Wanda (Mabe) Weiler. He was a member of the class of 1978 at Ida High School. He was a Journeyman in part for more than 30 yrs retiring in 2011 from being a heat treater. He was a member of West Ida Immanuel Lutheran Church where he was baptized and received communion, attended bible school, and every important family event throughout life.

Ted loved bowling, laughing, music & dancing, eating chili, spending time with family, instigating his siblings and had a huge heart. He was “fluent in flatulence,” always brought a good laugh and a joke to every room. Through his long line of family culture, he believed in loving everyone, always giving a second chance, and would give anyone the shirt off his back.


Please join us in celebrating Ted’s life. Friends may visit Sunday, February 16, 2025, at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Mi, from 12PM until the services at 6PM. Pastor Denise Benjamin of West Ida Immanuel Lutheran Church will officiate. Cremation will occur after.


Survivors include: His children with LeAnn (Jacobs) Tinnel, Alisha Congioloso, Larissa (Josh) Ziesmer, Tonya (Tony) Brandes; Children with Krisanne Wojciechowski, Brittany (Christopher) Braden, Brett (Ashley Hodge) Benardo; Grandchildren, Aubrey, Maria, Lacie, Zack, Zoey, Shelby, Joseph, Tristen, Connar, Arianna; Great-Grandchildren, Tanner and One Precious Great Grand Son on the way; and his siblings Sandra Hayter, Shari Weiler-Drouillard, and Scott Weiler.


Ted was preceded in death by: his nephew Jason Weiler, his parents Lee and Wanda (Mabe) Weiler, and Grand Parents Eugene and Fern Weiler, George and Bessie Mabe.
